Use the EditAtlas style “Beat Punch Cut” (id: beat-punch-cut, version: 1.0.0) as a preference guide.

First call get_style with {"id":"beat-punch-cut","version":"1.0.0"} and check its compatibility with the selected template. For a compatible template, fetch the exact template version and style together with get_template_bundle, for example {"id":"template-id","version":"1.0.0","style_id":"beat-punch-cut","style_version":"1.0.0","detail":"full"}. Preserve the template's hard constraints and surface incompatibility explicitly.

Style guide

Visual language

  • The picture itself carries the rhythm: no graphics sit on the product or the food, so the style suits any product montage cut to music.
  • Compose for a 9:16 portrait frame and keep every word and graphic inside the title-safe area (about x 60-960 and y 240-1480 on a 1080x1920 frame). Keep the product, the hands and the food clear: text goes in free space above or beside them.

Typography

  • No on-screen text is needed. If the user wants a line, use one short condensed caps word on the last shot only.
  • Carry the order through the cut, the action and the words. Do not add progress bars, step numbers, 'x / n' counters, pips or checklists, and do not end on-screen headings or words with a period.
  • Write only what the footage shows or the user supplies: actions, ingredients the user confirms, and names printed on the label. Do not add health, nutrition, price or performance claims, and do not write brand names the user does not own.

Color direction

  • Keep the footage's own colour. The white flash is the only added colour and lasts about three frames.
  • Keep food and product colours true; grade the whole frame, never the product alone.

Editing rhythm

  • One shot per one or two beats. Every cut lands exactly on a beat; long shots get two beats, fast moves one.
  • Cut on the music's beat grid: fit a steady grid to the detected beats and make every shot an exact number of beats, so the cuts never drift.

Motion principles

  • On each cut, kick the zoom up by about 8 percent and let it settle within a quarter second, tilt by under a degree to alternate sides, and split the red and blue channels by up to 16 px for two or three frames. Flash white on every second cut.
  • Commercial footage often carries burned-in titles, logos and supers that fade or wipe in. Scan the source for cuts at a low threshold, look at stills around every range, and use only clean ranges, or hold a clean frame over the last few frames.

Sound direction

  • A short sub hit on the longer shots and a whoosh into the first cut; let the music carry the rest.
  • If the rights to the original audio are unclear, replace it with a music track the user may use. Keep sound effects under the music, the mix near -14 LUFS and true peak at or below -1 dBTP.

Do not

  • Do not punch on a shot that already has fast camera motion; keep that cut clean.
  • Do not cover the product, the hands or the food with text.
  • Do not invent claims, prices, ingredients or flavour names.
  • Do not leave burned-in source text or logos visible.
  • Do not imitate a real brand's logo, packaging or typeface.
